
Also known as the WCCP's "Pre-Board Certification" qualification training program, this course combines 10 intensive workers' compensation training courses and 20 hours (12 Law, 2 Ethics & 6 Optional) of Florida Adjuster CE into one comprehensive training program.
The program covers such topics as Adjusting and the Claims Profession, The Origin & Evolution of W/C, The Compensability Doctrines of W/C, Florida's Workers' Compensation Benefits, Jesaitis on Rules, Evaluating & Reserving W/C Claim Exposures, The Intoxication Defense, Florida's PTD Benefits, Strategic Claim Negotiations and Evaluating & Reserving W/C Exposures-Presenting Your Case.
Upon completion of this program, and 3 years of Florida-licensed work comp lost time claims handling or management, claims adjusters, nurse case managers, and other risk, HR and insurance professionals can enter the WCCP's advanced workers' compensation designation program, become a Florida Board Certified W/C Claims Professional, and earn the right to display the renowned professional "CWC" designation.
This program raises the bar of claims management for all who strive to complete it. Each individual course ends with an exam that must be passed with a 70% score, and the program ends with a comprehensive exam. To secure your Certificate of Completion of this extensive training program you must pass with a 70%. HOWEVER, for pre-board qualification (i.e. to be able to enter the WCCP's Board Certification program, you must pass the exam with a minimum 80% score. All CE's will be reported to the DFS at the end of the program and you will receive an official "suitable-for-framing" Certificate of Completion. *Note: The entire program must be completed within 90 days of enrollment.
